Frequently asked questions

Short answers to the most common questions about Vipter's plan, payments, checkout, sales, subscriptions and integrations, with a link to the full page.

Any roleAll plans

Plan and account

Does Vipter take a percentage of sales? No. The plan is a monthly fee in Brazilian reais with a quota of approved orders per month, and each order above the quota has a fixed price. See limits by plan.

What counts as an order in the quota? Each paid order: one-time sales, subscription first charges and renewals, one-click upsell purchases and extra charges. The order bump goes into the same order, and refunds don't give quota back. See order quota and overage.

Is there a free trial? No. The first month is charged when you sign up, and the entry plan, Lite, costs R$ 4.99 per month. See choose the plan and activate the account.

Can I have more than one store? Yes, up to the number of stores in your plan. The plan belongs to the account, covers all of its stores, and the quota adds up the orders of all of them. See plans and limits.

What happens if the plan payment fails? The store keeps selling and the dashboard stops creating new items until it is settled. If an overage charge is declined on every attempt, the checkout stops selling. See past-due payment and blocked sales.

Who on the team can do what? There are three tiered roles: Sales, Admin and Owner. Admin can do everything Sales can, and Owner everything Admin can. Only the Owner signs up for and pays the plan. See roles and permissions.

Payments

Does the sales money go through Vipter? No. Your account at the payment provider charges, and the money lands there. Vipter connects the checkout to your accounts and decides which one charges each sale. See how payments work.

Which providers can I use? Stripe, Pagar.me, Mercado Pago, Asaas and Paystack. Each one supports different payment methods, countries and currencies. See features by provider.

Can I use two providers at the same time? Yes. In the payment flows you choose which account charges each sale, by currency, amount or card brand, and which one tries again when the first declines. See payment flows.

How do I offer PIX and installments? Connect Pagar.me, Mercado Pago or Asaas. PIX (Brazil's instant payment) appears on its own on one-time sales in Brazilian reais, and installments depend on the rule you set on the installments screen. See accept PIX and installments.

Can I sell subscriptions through Mercado Pago? No. Renewals charge the saved card, and Mercado Pago doesn't do this kind of charge through Vipter. Use Stripe, Pagar.me, Asaas or Paystack for subscriptions. See features by provider.

How do I test the store without charging anyone? Create a connection with test mode on and pay with the provider's test cards. Before promoting, also make a real low-value purchase and refund it. See test your store before selling.

Why was a payment declined? The provider's code shows in the order's payment attempts card. Temporary bank declines drop with a fallback account in the flows. See payment decline reasons.

Checkout and catalog

Can I use my own domain for the checkout? Yes. The checkout and the customer portal can live on a subdomain of your site, such as checkout.sualoja.com.br, with an automatic certificate. See use a custom domain for the checkout.

Does the checkout work in other languages and currencies? Yes. The checkout has 10 languages and shows prices in the currencies your connections accept. See checkout languages and currencies and prices in multiple currencies.

How do I sell more in the same purchase? Use the order bump to offer a product on the checkout, packs to sell several units at a discount and the one-click upsell to offer something right after payment. See order bump, packs and one-click upsell.

How do I promote a coupon? Create the coupon and share the offer's link with ?code= and the code: the buyer arrives with the coupon applied. Coupons only apply to one-time offers. See coupons and payment links and URL parameters.

Sales and subscriptions

How do I give the money back for a sale? Open the order and use the refund button, for the full amount or part of it. Only Admin and Owner can refund. See refund, capture and void.

The customer paid another way. How do I mark the order as paid? Use the change status button on the order page and write the reason. The order grants access and counts as a sale, but doesn't send a conversion to the pixels. See change the status manually.

How does the subscriber change the card or cancel? Through the customer portal, where they sign in with the purchase e-mail and a 6-digit code. You choose what they can do there. See customer portal and change card, change plan or cancel the subscription.

A subscription went into dunning. What now? The payment platform keeps trying to charge, and the subscriber gets an e-mail to update the card. When a new attempt goes through, the subscription becomes active again. See subscriptions.

Integrations

How do I grant course access automatically? Connect your member area (MemberKit, Cademí or Membox) and create a rule for each offer. Access is granted when the order is paid and removed on a refund. See how member areas work.

Does Vipter issue invoices? Yes, through an integration with Notazz, eNotas or PlugNotas. With automatic issuing on, the invoice is issued when the order is paid. See invoices.

How do I send sales to Meta, Google or TikTok? Connect each pixel in Conversions and choose which products it fires on. With the platform's token, the purchase is also sent from the server, and a PIX paid after the page was closed is counted. See how conversion tracking works.

How do I notify my system of a sale? Register a webhook: Vipter sends a signed POST on every sale, refund or subscription change. See webhooks.
